Baby carrots

Today we had a few hours without rain, so I went outside to thin the carrots.
 I don't really like to pull up perfectly good plants, but it is really necessary to get nice big carrots at the end.

I gave them a wash, and lovingly topped and tailed them, and oh my! they were tasty with a pot of humus.

Considering all the rain we've had, they had a really strong flavor.
