I'm getting there!
Here is where I'm up to at the moment with my cardigan.
I've sewn up all the panels, and then started work on the yolk. It is my first piece of fair isle knitting, and what fun it is!
The pattern section is quite addictive, and its lovely to see the design slowly emerging.
So I've run out of grey wool, so I'm at the wheel this morning having a quick spin - I really want to get this done!
Bye for now!

it looks fantastic! what lovely detail with the fair isle yolk. I love the grey and white. Im knitting a similar grey colour at the moment too and much enjoying the neutural tone
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, I'll pop over for a look!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely pattern! Where is it from? Can't wait to see it finished x
ReplyDeleteThank you! Initially it was a pattern for a fairly straightforward cardigan from a charity shop, but after a while I decided I might try something other than a garter stitch yolk, so went on revalry and found this yolk design. It is called 116-1 jacket in alpaca and glitter, by Drops design.
ReplyDeleteI've got a revalry page but haven't worked out how to stick the button on here yet. I'm registered as babybean. x
Oh that looks beautiful, and in your own handspun too.
ReplyDeleteI admire many of the Drops patterns, they are just beautiful.
